Police Appeal Over Two Separate Incidents Near Kilkeel

Police in Newry have made an appeal for information. Constable Caoimhe McCaughey said: “We are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a vehicle parked down a laneway on Mountain Road, Kilkeel on Saturday 15 August.

psni_appeal“We understand this happened sometime between 5.45pm and 8.15pm. The vehicle sustained extensive damage to the bodywork, wing mirrors and lights.

And police in Kilkeel are seeking witnesses. Constable Leona Mallon said: “We are investigating a hit and run RTC on the Carrigenagh Road at around 5.45pm on 14 August.

“A cyclist was knocked from their bicycle. We are keen to speak to anyone who noticed a red coloured Toyota-type car in the area at this time. We would also like to speak to someone who came to the aid of the cyclist as they may have seen something which will assist with our enquiries.”
