Police Appeal On Crossgar Traffic Accident

POLICE in Downpatrick are appealing for information after a road traffic collision in Mary Street, Crossgar, yesterday (Tuesday, 1st March).
At 6:05pm, it was reported that a five-year oldxa0female pedestrianxa0sustained injuries following a one vehicle road traffic collision. The collision involved a large black car which had R plates on display.
The girl was taken to hospital with injuries to her leg, thumb and body.xa0Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The male driver of the vehicle involved returned the girl to her home and police are keen to speak to him. They are asking the driver to contact them at Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000. They would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.
