Police Appeal After Saintfield Burglary

Police in Downpatrick are appealing for witnesses following the burglary of a house in the Downpatrick Street area of Saintfield early on the morning of Sunday 30 April.

Detective Constable Brannigan said: “It was reported that sometime around 3.30am, persons gained entry to the property before the householder disturbed them.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or has information about the incident to contact detectives on the non-emergency police number 101 quoting reference number 288 of 30/04/17.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
