Police Appeal After Road Death Near Bloody Bridge

dn_screenA man has died following a one vehicle road traffic collision in County Down

Inspector Andy McGowan said: “The 19-year old was the driver of a silver Volkswagen Passat that left the Ballagh Road, the main coast road between Newcastle and Annalong, shortly after 1am this morning.

The road remains closed at present as officers investigate the circumstances of the collision. Traffic is being diverted at Bloody Bridge.

We are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who was travelling on the Ballagh Road at around 1am. Officers can be contacted by calling the non-emergency number 101.”
