Police Appeal After Newcastle Assault

dn_screenPolice in Newcastle are appealing for information following an assault in the town on Sunday 1 June.

At approximately 11.30pm, a man was walking in the Bracken Avenue area when he was assaulted by a group of xa0people. He sustained a black eye, a cut to his chin and bruising to his body.

Police are investigating and would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone with information to contact them at Newcastle police station on the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, information can be given to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously by telephoning 0800 555 111.
