Police Appeal After Early Morning Downpatrick Hit And Run Collision

dn_screenPolice in Downpatrick are appealing for information following a hit and run collision in the Belfast Road area of the town on 10 December.

Constable Michael Butler explained: “At approximately 6.05pm, a Silver Renault Megane which was travelling in the direction of Downpatrick was involved in a road traffic collision with another vehicle. The occupants of the Renault Megane were not injured, however, their vehicle was not drivable following the collision.

“The driver of the other vehicle failed to stop. It is believed the driver then travelled along Cotterhill Road in the direction of the Quoile Bridge.

“I would appeal to the driver, or anyone who witnessed the collision, to contact me at Downpatrick police station on the non-emergency number 101″.
