Police Appeal After Downpatrick Robbery

psni_appealPolice in Downpatrick are appealing for information following a burglary in the Thomas Russell Park area of the town on 12 January.

Constable Phil Smyth explained: “At approximately 6.20pm, two men entered a property in the area and stole an undisclosed sum of money.

“I am investigating and would appeal to anyone who was in the area and who witnessed any suspicious activity, or anyone with any other information to contact me.

“The house is close to a Scout Hall and I would be particularly keen to speak to anyone who was at the hall and who may have seen any suspicious activity.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact me at Downpatrick police station on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, information about crime can be passed to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously by telephoning 0800 555 111.”
