Police in Downpatrick are appealing for information following an assault in the Market Street area on Sunday 2 June.
Around 11.30pm a 33-year old male was attacked by an unknown assailant.xa0 He was taken to hospital and received stitches to an injury to his face.
Anyone who witnessed the assault in the Market Street/St Patrick’s Avenue areas betweenxa011pm and midnightxa0is asked to contact police at Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000.xa0 Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
