Police Appeal After Downpatrick Assault

POLICE are appealing for information following the report of an assault in licensed premises in the Market Street area of Downpatrick during the early hours of Friday 27 December. It was reported that an 18-year old female was in the smoking area of the premises when she was assaulted by another female. She sustained swelling to side of her head, cuts and bruises as a result of the incident. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police in Downpatrick on 0845 600 8000.
