Police Appeal After Burglary At Newry Business

Police are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at commercial premises on the Belfast Road area of Newry on Friday night, 17 April.

Sergeant Willis said: “We received a report at around 10.45pm that males were tampering with vehicles in a yard. 

“Officers attended to find four alloy wheels had been removed from an Audi.

“We are appealing to anyone with information, or who may have noticed any suspicious activity, to contact us. xa0Likewise, if you should be offered such items for sale, please get in touch on 101 quoting reference number 2430 of 17/04/20.xa0

“We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a male in the area around that time.  He is described as being approximately 5’ 10” in height, of slim build, with short hair and wearing all black.”

Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
