Patrician Youth Centre Present Cheque To Trocaire

Patrician Youth Centre members presented Rosie McCreanor from Trocaire with a cheque for £400 at the Youth Centre recently.

Colin McGrath, Patrician Youth Worker, said: “The money was raised as part of a sponsored walk and other initiatives held in the centre from Easter. The activities were delivered by Sister Mary Delargy from the Downpatrick Convent of Mercy in conjunction with Centre Senior Members Kirsty-Marie Botsford and Leona Rafferty.xa0The sponsored walk was especially fun with a BBQ held afterwards at Delamont Country Park.

“Rosie Creanor, the development officer from Trocaire, will revisit the centre later in the year and update the members on what Trocaire spent their money on and some of the priorities for the charity at the moment.

“We look forward to hosting her in Patrician soon for this information session.”

Sister Mary said: ‘The activities were great fun and the young people were really dedicated at raising funds to help those in the world less well off than themselves.”
