Opportunities For Funding For Newry Mourne and Down’s Rural Areas

dn_screenThe Rural Development Programme will be providing opportunities for capital funding for community and business projects in rural areas throughout the Newry Mourne and Down District.

A series of mandatory workshops will be held across and the Newry Mourne and Down District for potential applicants to the Mourne, Gullion and Lecale Rural Development Partnership. The workshops will be taking place throughout the month of June in the following areas:

13 June – The Lodge, Castlewellan
10am – 12noon
7pm – 9pm

14 June Mullaghbawn Community Centre
10am – 12noon
7pm – 9pm

15 June – Downshire Arms, Hilltown
10am – 12noon
7pm – 9pm

20 June – Kilmorey Arms Hotel, Kilkeel
10am – 12noon
7pm – 9pm

22 June – Ballymote Centre, Downpatrick
10am – 12noon
7pm – 9pm

The Workshops will focus on presenting details on the programme and, where required, will provide the opportunity of one to one advice for potential candidates. The workshops will give those in attendance a general overview of the Rural Development Programme and will involve specific presentations. Officers will be on hand to offer support and guidance to applicants.

This is an important opportunity for all Newry Mourne and Down-based community groups and businesses. In order to be considered for funding from the Rural Development Programme a group or business must attend one of the workshops.
