One App and Two Generations… De La Salle at W5

As part of the European Year for Active Ageing between the Generations, Year 10 pupils from De La Salle High School attended an event called One App, Two Generations at W5.

Senior citizens from the local community of Ballyhackamore and the pupils from De La Salle considered the issues around ageing and how technology can help.

They learned from experts and senior citizens about the challenges older people face, how apps are designed and how they might help them.

All pupils worked in groups to design an app and came up with some brilliant ideas to help stroke victims, those with Dementia and also for those apps that could help with day-to-day chores.
