Ó Gribín Welcomes Leitrim Roads Response

Sinn Féin Councillor Pól Ó Gribín has welcomed a response by Roads Service to his request for warning signs and the upgrading of ‘slow’ markings in the Leitrim area.dn_screen

Cllr Ó Gribín said:xa0“Some time ago I wrote to Roads Service requesting the installation of a number of road safety measures in Leitrim village these included signage to warn traffic on the Leitrim Road of the upcoming junction with the Old Railway Close and improvements to the existing ‘slow’ road markings which had become faded over time.”

He continued:xa0“Roads Service have now responded and have indicated to me their intention to erect a ‘junction ahead’ sign and refresh the road markings. This comes as welcome news to the many residents who have contacted me with their concern over road safety in the village. Particularly at this stretch of road.”
