NMD Council Adapt Leisure Services To Meet Covid-19 Regs

Newry Mourne and Down District Council is committed to assisting with reducing the spread of Covid-19 across the district and has introduced a number of measures to ensure its leisure facilities are safer.

Newry Mourne and Down District Council is committed to assisting with reducing the spread of Covid-19 across the district and has introduced a number of measures to ensure its leisure facilities are safer.

Listed below is the latest information in relation to our leisure services.

These restrictions will take immediate effect on Friday 16th October (today) from 6pm for 4 weeks:

•             Gyms remain open for individual session bookings via online and contactless payments only.

•             Swimming pools remain open however only for individual lane swimming bookings and only for 16 years and older, booking via online and contactless payments only.

•             There will be no swimming club bookings.

•             There will be no swimming tuition until further notice.

•             Classes are suspended until further notice.

•             Indoor bookings for contact and non-contact sports (includes any group bookings) are suspended until further notice.

Outdoor sports facilities and Play Parks:

•             All outdoor facilities and sites are closed for sports clubs, commercial coaches and voluntary groups (for training and matches regardless of numbers).

•             Play Parks to remain open.
