NIIRTA Welcomes PM's Statement on Northern Ireland

A statement on Northern Ireland by PM David Cameron has been welcomed by the Northern Ireland Independent Trade Association (NIIRTA). NIIRTA Chief Executive Glyn Roberts said:xa0“Overall this is a very welcome Economic Package which we believe is good news for small business owners, independent traders and more importantly for new start entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland.dn_screen “We have long campaigned for the establishment of local Enterprise Zones, particularly to support urban regeneration, so it is particularly welcome that this is included the document” “It is positive to see new measures to provide additional start up loans, continuation of Assisted Area Status and greater clarity towards the devolution of Corporation Tax before the next General Election” “In terms of the Review of Business Red Tape, I hope this will be a genuine and far reaching review of the serious regulatory burden on our small businesses and independent retailers” “Investing in infrastructure is always a good idea, particularly during recession and we will be lobbying hard for schemes to support our rural towns in particular” “We look forward to working with the Executive on the delivery of this package”
