    It is not too often that a Team in the County gets to an All-Ireland Final. It is also an honour for us to have five players representing their own team mates and Castlewellan on the Down Panel. The Under-16 County Camogie team will play Wicklow on Saturday and 2.30pm in Ashbourne Co Meath in the All-Ireland Final. The Town will be represented by Aoife Keown, Paidi Hawkins, Claire Cleland, Ciara Gibson and Finola Rice. This is a big occasion for

      Games Update The Seniors lost heavily to a strong, organised and committed Carryduff team, the damage was done in the first half as Carryduff hit three goals and Ardglass could not recover the deficit. Ardglass lost for the fourth game of the season and sit near the bottom of the league, however, they gave debuts to another two Minors during this match, which is six minors players to taste senior action so far this year, this experience will be vital to them as the season progresses. Jordan Ross also broke his wrist in this game; everyone hopes you recover soon Jordan! Next Game Away to Glassdrumann on Sunday. The U-14’s Lost by 11 points to Dromara on Friday evening, after a poor start they trailed by 9 points, however an improved performance in the second half saw a spirited comeback only for the home side to score 2 late goals. Matthew Kennedy and Jason Curran were the pick of the defenders, while Cavan Flynn scored two goals from Midfield, Next games…. away to Teconnaught 2nd may and home to Darragh Cross 9th May.       Busy Time For Mourne Mountain Rescuers

        IT has been a xa0busy weekend for the Mourne Mountain Rescue Team.
        On Saturday evening at about 6.00pm, the team wasxa0tasked by the PSNI to assist in the evacuation of the remaining walkers and campers in thexa0Annalong valley where a major incident was declared duexa0extensive upland fires.
        The team assisted six people back to the control point on the Head Road. All walkers and campers were cleared from the area at about midnight.
        Sunday afternoon the team was tasked to assist a young girl with a suspected fractured lower leg injury that had occurred while climbing Slieve Donard with here family.
        With the police helicopter in the area the girl was evacuated quickly from the Donard Commedagh coll to a waiting ambulance.
        later in the afternoon the team was again tasked to search for a missing person who wasxa0found in the Happy valley area of the Mournes.
