A Taste of Ulster at Westminster

JIM Shannon, MP for Strangford, along with DUP Parliamentary colleagues has this week had an Ulster Cake presented to the Group by Conservative MP Andrew Rossindell at Westminster.

Mr Shannon said: “Andrew is a good friend of Unionists in NI and has spoken on and visited Northern Ireland on numerous occasions. The Ulster Cake presented to DUP MP’s and Peers at Westminster was done to coincide with the Diamond Jubilee.

“Although a diabetic, I did take a small piece of the cake, but also shared it with Labour MP’s who were eager to take the culinary delights of the new Ulster Cake.

“It gave a new meaning to the phrase – a Taste of Ulster.”
