Newcastle Police Warn of Counterfeit Money

POLICE xa0in Newcastle are advising businesses to be wary of people passing counterfeit notes after a number of fake ten pound notes were reported recently.

In particular, amusement arcades, fast food outlets and bars have been used to pass or attempt to pass on counterfeit money in exchange for goods.

Retailers are being advised to check all notes and to report any suspicious activity to police.

As shops are busy over the holiday period, it is important to take the necessary measures to prevent fake money being lodged in your xa0shop till.
