Newcastle Councillor Willie Clarke (Sinn Féin)xa0as welcomed resurfacing work carried out to the Shimnavale Road in Newcastle.
He said,”I have been contacted by a number of residents regarding the poor condition of the Road.
“Having viewed the poor state of the surface on the Shimnavale Road I too shared the concerns voiced by residents of the road regarding its condition. Having made representations on their behalf to Roads Service I am glad that the required infrastructure improvements has been carried out.
“There is also a need for resurfacing work to take place on the Bryansford Gardens and Valenia Place roads. I have also requested a meeting with Roads service to discuss these areas.”
