New Years Message.
Strangford MP Jim Shannon MP has urged the ‘good people of Strangford’ to have a wonderful and safe ‘New Year.’
He said: “Christmas is over us, we have all probably eaten too much, lounged too much and hopefully laughed too much and now we look towards a New Year in 2019. This is a New Year, with new opportunities and a fresh start. I love the CS Lewis quote which says:
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
“This is a new year and a new opportunity to make that fresh start or to renew our determination to keep doing the things we are doing.
“Christmas is a tough time for so many people and it is always nice to come to this time of year when we can take a deep breath and move forward, and I pray that all those in the Strangford constituency will head in to this New Year with a purpose and knowing that there are people all around them to love and support them through whatever this New Year brings.”
