New Director For Children's Services and Social Work

[/caption] Ian who was born in Newry, completed his social work training in the mid-80’s and has worked in a number of social work posts throughout England and Northern Ireland since then.xa0 In 2007, Ian was appointed as Assistant Director of Mental Health Services in the Southern Health & Social Care Trust and in 2008 was appointed by the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety to become the Northern Ireland Trustee on the Board of the Social Care Institute for Excellence. Ian has been involved in a range of regional initiatives including co-chairing the Bamford Review Group on Mental Health Services for Older People. Ian is married with three children and his wife, Ruth Sutherland, is the Executive Director xa0of Services for SCOPE, a large UK charity providing services to children and adults with disabilities.]]>
