Menopause Event Coming To Donaghadee

Our time to thrive event will be the key message at the upcoming menopause wellbeing event in Donaghadee

Renowned Breast Surgeon and Associate Specialist, Dr Gwyneth Hinds, will be guest speaker at the South Eastern Trust’s Menopause Wellbeing Event on Thursday 2 May 2024The event, organised by the Multi-Disciplinary Team in Donaghadee Health Centre, will take place at Robert Andrews Church Hall, opposite Shore Street Presbyterian Church from 6.30-9.30pm.

Senior Social Work Practitioner at Donaghadee Health Centre, Collette Watt explained that the event is back due to extremely popular demand.

She said: “This is another chance for women to learn more about their general health and connect with relevant support groups and organisations. 

“The Trust’s Nutrition Team, Recovery College, Carer Support Team along with representatives from Cancer Focus’s Smoking Cessation Service and the Chest, Heart and Stroke Association will all be attending on the night.”

Collette said that Dr Hinds will deliver a talk on menopause health and will also facilitate a question and answer session for those attending.

She added: “The event was extremely popular last year and there are some places still available for this event. We are looking forward to welcoming Dr Hinds and everyone on the night.”
