McLaverty Comments On Longstone Drugs Find

SDLP Newry and Mourne Council candidate in the local government election, Theresa McLaverty, xa0has said she shares Longstone residents’ concerns following a drugs raid in the area on Thursday morning. Ms McLaverty said it was a quiet place and this development did not reflect the area as a whole.xa0“The PSNI has informed me that a raid took place on premises in Longstone this morning in relation to drugs. “Residents in the area have concerns as this is not reflective of the community. I share those concerns. “The sale of drugs in our rural areas is a worrying issue and one that needs to be tackled, it’s a scourge to our society that targets our young people and I urge anybody with information about the sale of drugs needs to pass it on to the police.”]]>
