McGrath Welcomes Downpatrick Cannabis Seizure

[caption id="attachment_1108" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Two men have been held by police in Downpatrick following a cannabis find.xa0"][/caption] “Cannabis, although often viewed as a soft ‘recreational’ drug, is dangerous, highly addictive, and I have unfortunately seen on too many occasions how young people, particularly, can get hooked to it all too easily resulting in lives being destroyed and families being torn apart.” Police have confirmed that two men have been arrested follwing the discovery at a cannabis factory at premises on the Killard Road in Downpatrick. An estimated £134,000 worth of cannabis plants and opther associate dcultivating equipment was seized by police while investigating suspicious activity in the area. A 26-year old man and a 25-year old man have were detained at the property and are still in custody assisting police with their inquiries.]]>
