South Down SDLP MLA Colin McGrath has addressed a post code issue in Kilcoo.
Mr McGrath said: “I was approached by residents in Cairn Grove who voiced their frustration with their postcode difficulties. It would appear that there is a Cairn Grove in Newry whose postcode was also BT34.xa0 This was causing significant confusion for deliveries to the Kilcoo properties.
“I made representations to both Council and Royal Mail and am pleased that the post code situation has now been addressed.
Local SDLP Mourne’s Councillor Laura Devlin said: “We now live in an age where we depend on many deliveries whether its groceries, clothes or other household items so for these items to be delivered elsewhere or even delayed was causing significant problems for these householders.
“I am pleased that we were able to sort this matter out for the greater good of those living in both Cairn Groves.”
