Mathison supports Macmillan Coffee Morning at Ballynahinch Library
Alliance Strangford MLA Nick Mathison visited Ballynahinch Library on Thursday to support its Macmillan Cancer Care Coffee Morning.
During the visit, Nick met members of the library’s Knit and Natter group and heard about the work they do knitting for a range of charitable causes.
He also caught up with Library Manager Pamela Dickson to hear more about the wide range of services and activities available to the local community.
Nick Mathison MLA said: “It was lovely to call into Ballynahinch Library and support their Macmillan Coffee Morning.
“I really enjoyed meeting members of the Knit and Natter group and hearing about the fantastic work they do for a range of charitable causes.
“It was also good to catch-up with Pamela the Library Manager and hear more about everything the library offers.
“The Macmillan Coffee Morning and the library’s Knit and Natter group are just two examples of the key role libraries play as community spaces.
“They provide far more than books, and it was great to see the range of activities and support available locally.”
