Man Charged To Court For Drug Offences

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Organised Crime Branch have charged a man to court.

The 28-year-old has been charged with a significant number of drug-related offences, which include possession of a Class A controlled drug, and conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drug.


He has also been further charged with offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The man is due to appear before Downpatrick Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 4th December.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The charges are in connection with an ongoing investigation following the search of a property in the Colmcille Road area of Downpatrick on Monday, 30th September 2024.

Quantities of Class A, B and C controlled drugs, as well as suspected criminal property were seized from the premises. In addition, four people, one man and three women, have also been reported to the Public Prosecution Service in connection with this investigation.
