Description: Brian Friel’s most famous play tackles sweeping themes of Irish emigration and family in a story about 25-year-old, Gar O’Donnell who is torn between his small town home in Donegal and the bright lights of America.

Venue: Lyric Theatre, Naughton Studio

Description: Part of the Brian Friel season at the Lyric. This rarely performed poetic tale about a woman who is persuaded to have an operation to restore her eyesight, having been blind since birth.

Title: Lyric Creative Learning: Exploring Dialect

Date/Time: 18 Feb – 18 March; Tuesdays weekly 7pm-9pm

Venue: Lyric Theatre, Rehearsal Room

Description: A 5-week course studying different dialects within the context of a particular play e.g. Liverpool & Our Day Out, Dublin & Juno and the Paycock. Adult course taken by voice coach, Peter Balance.
