Lupini To Send Two Horses To Dundalk Hoping For a Win

Banbridge trainer Natalie Lupini is taking two horses to run at Dundalk

County Down trainer Natalia Lupini has eyes set on Dundalk with two runners set to travel South for Friday’s all-weather card

Banbridge trainer Natalia Lupini looks set to have a couple of runners south of the border this week on Friday.

The County Down handler is likely to have two horses head to Dundalk for its evening meeting on Friday at either end of the card and the one appearing at the end of the evening looks to have a very live chance indeed of picking up a victory for Lupini.

Up first at 4.55, Lupini has entered Shamanka in the seven furlong claiming race to open the Dundalk card later this week.

xa0The three-year-old has run three times in his career and all of them have been at Dundalk, with a tenth, third and a sixth on his resume so far when tackling the all-weather surface.

Natalía Lupini, a Banbridge trainer who hails from Italy, will be racing two horses at Dundalk on Friday 7th March 2025.

This certainly looks like a winnable race for Lupini’s horse as her rating of 75 is only bettered by three other runners but will have to take the level up a bit to land a decisive win at Dundalk.xa0

At the other end of the card at 8pm on Friday, Lupini has entered Powerful Lady into the one mile Patton race for three-year-olds.xa0

This could be a very hot contest as powerhouse trainer Aidan O’Brien holds a couple of entries here, as does his son and fellow top-class trainer Joseph.

Powerful Lady’s last three runs have all been at Dundalk and she has shown some very good form at the track. She was third back in December, then improved to a second place effort a week later and then improved again last time out on January 10 to land a victory in a three-year-old maiden contest.

Aidan O’Brien has the two highest-rated horses in the race with Mount Kilimanjaro and Aftermath, but Powerful lady’s rating of 91 is joint-third in the competition with the Adrian Murray-trained Jaliyah.

Lupini only had four runners race over the last fortnight and the best result of those was a seventh of 12 for her runner Cousin Shay, who made the trip over to Britain to compete on Southwell’s card on February 22.xa0
