Leitrim Cllr John Rice Calls For Bridge Repairs

Slieve Croob Sinn Féin Councillor John Rice recently met with Department for InfrastructureI officials at the bridge in Leitrim village to highlight the overgrowth of trees.

Cllr Rice said: “Local residents had brought to my attention the dangerous situation of trees rooting and growing from the side of the banks of bridge at the Corner.

“Having spoken to the officials they have assured me that they will assess the bridge and carry out work on the issue to fix any damage that may have already occurred.

“Ixa0 welcome this positive response from the officials and their commitment to carry out remedial works if required.”
