Killyleagh Branch Of NI Family History Society Meeting

Come along to the Killyleagh branch meeting of the NI Family History Society

Unfolding family history is a challenging and fascinating subject and the Killyleagh & District branch of The North of Ireland Family History Society will be holding its November meeting on Monday 2nd November, at 7.30pm, at Killyleagh Masonic Hall, 50, High Street, Killyleagh.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Ken Dawson. Ken is a well known to many of us as a local historian and chair of Lecale and District Historical Society, and also to many as the past Deputy Headmaster of Down High School.

Kenโ€™s talk will give us an insight into the history of the school, reflected in his book, โ€œFloreat Dunum: A History of Down High Schoolโ€.

This should be a lively evening, as many of Killyleagh branch members have passed through the school, will have experiences to share, and memories will be rekindled.

Visitors are very welcome to join us on the evening, there will be light refreshments following the talk. There is no charge, however, any donation gratefully accepted.
