Burglary reported on Killard Road

Police in Downpatrick are appealing for information following a report a burglary at a factory in the Killard Road area near Ballyhornan.

Inspector Stinton said: “We received a report that a factory had been broken into sometime between 9.30pm on Thursday 7th December and 7am on Friday 8th December. It was reported that the factory was broken into via a window and a large quantity of palettes with seafood were taken from inside.

“We would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the area on either Thursday night or Friday morning, or who have dash-cam or CCTV footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 456 of 08/12/23.

“I also would appeal to anyone who is offered seafood items in suspicious circumstances to contact Police.
