Kids Can Join Journey Of ‘Maidie & Cal’ In New Ulster Scots Book

THIS Saturdayxa0(16xa0November), kids can join two children’s journey of Ulster-Scots discovery with a special story-telling session at Ards Tourist Information Centre.xa0dn_screen Part of a series of events to launch the new Ulster Scots children’s series ‘Maidie & Cal’, the story-telling session and book signing is ideal for kids aged between 7 and 10, who will enjoy travelling across the nine counties of Ulster in the company of Maidie and her brother, Cal, to discover what it’s like to be an Ulster-Scot today. Both author, Diane Hoy, and illustrator, Jonathan Temples, will be in the centre, telling stories and drawing with children, as well as signing copies of the books which will be on sale at £7.99, with bookmarks and goodie bags for those who buy a copy.
