Locals who are looking for a chance to catch-up with friends and exchange festive gifts should look no further than Cancer Fund for Children’s Daisy Lodge Coffee Morning on December 18 from 10am to noon.
The suggested donation for the coffee morning which will feature home-baked sweet treats is £4. Money raised at the event will enable the charity to continue providing free therapeutic short breaks for local families affected by cancer.
The team at Daisy Lodge are also urging local businesses and groups to take part in the Cancer Fund for Children’s All Wrapped Up Christmas Jumper campaign.
Hospitality Manager Joan Burden said: “Our coffee morning and All Wrapped Up campaign are the perfect way to get into the festive spirit. Money raised will help us to continue our vital work at our purpose-built Daisy Lodge facility in Newcastle, in the community and on the hospital ward.”
