Islanderry Trout Still Biting Despite Heavy Rain

Sean Gibson, Belfast, was also fishing from the jetty to release 9 trout, 4 of which weighed over 5lb.xa0Sean was fishing a Washing Line method using Buzzers, Nymphs and Dries.xa0 The big trout are still on the move with Rodney Dale releasing a nice 8lbs fish, and Ben Taylor, Hillsborough,s released a 12lb 7oz trout. Les Scott, Dungannon, released a 10lbs 2oz trout. The Hollow Springs Lake is also fishing well with Keith Whitmarsh, Lurgan releasing 10 trout fishing a mixture of buzzers and lures.xa0 The next competitions on the lakes are on Saturday 29th October with the Winter League starting on the main lake with an overall prize fund of £800, which includes a £400 cash first prize and a Under-16 junior Halloween competition on the Hollow Springs Lake.
