Irish Superbike Champions Races Coming To Kirkistown

Mike Sanlon, MCRRCI spokesperson said, “The solo National Championship classes will be catered for with two races each on the day but in addition we are adding some racing from yester-years. “Forgotten Era racing for TZ250GP, TZ350GP, 500-750GP machines, this class will bring back race bikes from 70’s-80’s and a taste of days gone by and the smell of two stroke oil. We are hoping to see some of the RG500’s and TZ700 xa0and 750’s on the start line. “Race regulations are out for this event and open to all race licence holders this is most definitely not parade laps. National competitors have also shown interest in competing in this class if machinery was made available to them. “This class is generating a lot of interest in Ireland and could possibly get more events if it is supported well, maybe even become part of the Irish Championships. Some clubs in the Southern centre will be watching and are hoping to host races for these classes at Mondello Park in the future. “The Bank Holiday mid-week event will surely be exciting young and old so come along and make a day of it. Bring a picnic or use the onsite catering facilities. Practice is from 9am and racing is from 12.30pm.”]]>
