MCEECI Spokesman Mark Sanlon said, “All short circuit events require a minimum number of entries to make events break even. For this event we needed 120 entries. “At the closing date for entries we had received 49. We have also given the competitors a chance to put a late entry in but after the post today a grand total of 63 entries have been received. “We have been left with no other choice but to cancel and inform all personnel who give up their time to help run these events. “This has also spoiled an excellent championship where several classes had to be decided next week. “Measures will have to be put in place by the MCUI to prevent this happening again in the future.]]>
