Helen McBurney Skincare sponsored the Ladies and Gents Style Awards at Downpatrick Races

The Ballymena-based McBurney family were major sponsors at Downpatrick’s Best Dressed Ladies Day fixture on the August Bank Holiday race meeting at Downpatrick Racecourse.

Philip McBurney sponsored the Randox Handicap Hurdle which resulted in a local first and second.

And his wife Helen McBurney, owner of the Helen McBurney Skincare clinic based on the Antrim Road, Belfast, and supplier of advanced skin care treatments sponsored and judged the Best Dressed Ladies and Gents competitions along with Ms Lauren Leckey, 2019 Miss Northern Ireland, and Pamela Ballantine, broadcaster and presenter.

Faith Amond once again claimed the ladies’ prize as the Helen McBurney Skincare Most Appropriately Dressed Lady.

Faith received a £2000 cash prize plus a Luxury Skincare Hamper.

Winner of the Most Appropriately Dressed Lady was Faith Amond pictured with Helen McBurney of Helen McBurney Skincare, sponsor.

The runner-up lady was Percy Sikhasana who also received a Luxury Skincare Hamper and and a £250 Hastings Hotel voucher.

The other ladies shortlisted were Amy Sloan, Lauren Campbell, Sarah McAlinden and Lila Murdock.

Percy Sikhosana was second in the Most Appropriately Dressed Lady and was presented with her prize by former Miss Northern Ireland 2019, Lauren Leckey.

The six gents shortlisted were: Eamonn McCann, Alan Morris, Eithen Kelly, Matthew Newman, Richard Douglas and Mark Cave. And the winner was……. Richard Douglas.

Richard Douglas receives his prize as the Best Dressed Gent sponsored by Helen McBurney Skincare from Lauren Leckey, the 2019 Miss Northern Ireland.

Richard is to receive a VIP Trip to the Curragh Racecourse for Day 2 of the Irish Champions Weekend, with lunch, £250 spending money and a chauffeur-driven ride home.
