Hazzard Welcomes Translink Move To Improve Town Bus Service In Downpatrick

dn_screenSouth Down MLA Chris Hazzard has welcomed the news that Translink Ulsterbus in Downpatrick have introduced additional town services from 1 February.

He said: “The additional bus service for the people of Downpatrick is welcome news as it allows greater choice for non-drivers in the area.

“The provision of good public transport services is very important and I am pleased that Translink has engaged in the public consultation process which has highlighted the need for these improved services, particularly to the 315a and 315b routes.

“The community will benefit from the greater choice in reaching areas throughout the town at an affordable price.

“And it may help ultimately to ease the traffic congestion in the town.”
