Hazzard Calls On Farmers To Attend Meeting With Minister

SOUTH Down Sinn Féin MLA Chris Hazzard, who is also a member of the DARD Assembly Committee, has encouraged local farmers and rural residents to come along to a public meeting with the Minister for Agriculture Michelle O’Neill being hosted in the Downshire Arms Hotel, Hilltown, on Wednesday 17xa0April.

Mr.Hazzard said it was a unique opportunity for local farmers to put their questions to the Minister and to gain valuable information which will be of benefit to them. He added: “This meeting will give farmers and rural residents a chance to discuss any issues of importance to them with the Minister, and to engage with DARD officials who will also be present. “I would encourage as many farm owners as possible to attend, especially in light of the recent weather which has had a big impact on the farming community locally. “Exhibition and info stalls will be present from 6-9pm in the library room, with the public meeting beginning at 7pm.”]]>
