COUNCILLOR xa0Paul Gribben (Sinn Féin) has said he is seriously concerned that Roads Service are neglecting small rural villages throughout Down District in an effort to save money.

Councillor Gribben said:xa0″I recently participated in a village walk-about with my Sinn Féin colleague Chris Hazzard MLA in Drumaroad. “I was shocked and dismayed at the unkempt appearance of many of the road sides, footpaths, and gullies throughout the village. “I have now been in touch with Roads Service and asked them to both explain this apparent lack of care for rural villages such as Drumaroad, and also to outline future maintenance schedules so that local residents can be confident that this work will be carried out as soon as possible,” xa0added Councillor Gribben.  ]]>
