Glasdrumman GAC Notes

The U-10’s kept up their good run of late with a great win, this time against a much improved Ballymartin side writes Tony Bannon.xa0

In their last meeting it was an easy win for Glasdrumman and although they had a few points to spare in this one, Ballymartin made the home team work hard to earn victory. Peter Doran started in goals while the back line was made up of the ever improving Jack McVeigh, Eoin McVeigh and the excellent Cáolam Smith who gave a master class in defending. Darragh Rooney moved from his usual Full Back role to partner “the Gooch” Martin Stevenson. The strong forward line consisted of Aine Trimble, Sean Kelly and Cormac McComb. So another good performance from this young team who have Attical up next at St Mary’s Park Glasdrumman next Monday.dn_screen

The B match saw Conaire McDowell return from injury to take up his customary place in goals and it also gave the management another look to see what players could be called upon for first team action. The B team were: Conaire McDowell, Nathan Brennan, Niall and Ryan McCartan, Peter Doran, Sé Rooney, Aoife McComb, Tara Grant, Ollie and George Thompson.

The U-14’s have had a few tough games away against Clann na Derg and at home to Saval. Although the boys have been beaten, some fantastic displays of football have been played. They played Clann na Derg at homexa0on Mondayxa0night, have still to play the Longstone at home and Burrn B away, Good Luck boys and lets get a win in the bag!!
