* Our crowned county Champions went on to represent not only Glasdrumman but the County of Down in yesterday’s Scor na nOg Ulster Semi Final. Both the Ballad group and Instrumental group took to the stage and gave outstanding performances . Their hard work, attention to detail and clarity of singing and music were remarked by many to be the highest quality.

The participants in the Scor na nOg.

As the results were announced the camaraderie among both groups and their support for each other was a pleasure to watch. Firstly the ballad result was given, Glasdrumman, the packed hall cheered as they go through to the Ulster final back in Silverbridge. Unfortunately for the instrumental group they were not the judges choice in such a highly competitive section. all these children are a credit to our club, county, their parents and their schools.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support these children and those who sent good luck messages through text and social media. Thank you to Rachael and the staff of Carrick cottage and our culture officer tony for the providing a hearty breakfast to set them on their way. Congratulations to other down winners on the night Mayobridge ceili dancers, Clonduff solo singer, Drumaness leirui and Clonduff set dancers. We wish them all the best of luck in the Ulster final.
