Glasdrumman GAC Notes For 15 October 2017

Our U6/U8 Squad’s Season came to a conclusion this week with an end of season trip to Cocos writes Tony Bannon.

A great turnout of over 20 boys and girls enjoyed their trip and lunch. They can look forward to Glasdrumman Youth Club starting over the winter. Football will resume in the Spring.xa0 A massive Thankyou to all the coaches and mentors who invested their time every week to ensure our boys and girls developed their skills and learned new ones while enjoying their friendly games and weekly training sessions.

The Eire Og U-13s faced Burren “B “on Saturday evening in what was a brilliant encounter! Despite the Eire Ogs giving all they had they lost by 4 points. Everyone at the club wishes a speedy recovery to Darragh Rooney who fractured his wrist in a recent game.

The Eire Og U-11’s faced neighbours Longstone on Sunday morning in what was a game of 2 halves. The Eire ogs started brightest and were 7 points up at half time, however, longstone had the better second half and ended up being deserved winners. Training continues on a Thursday evening from 6.15 until 7.15 at the Quarter road. Sunday sees the final game of this campaign with an away fixture against Atticall.

xa0Congratulations to Bronagh O’Neill on being “Player of the Week “xa0 in Circuits by Actisport on Tuesday . The sessions continue each Tuesday startingxa0 xa0at 7.00pm.
Walking Club will meet on Wednesdaysxa0 at 7.00pmxa0weather permitting.
