people from all abilities the competition will not only offer the chance to perform in front of crowds, but it also provides the opportunity to win a locally made and highly sought-after, Sheeran by Lowden guitar provided by Downpatrick Racecourse.

Speaking ahead of Downtime Summerfest, Newry Mourne and Down District Council Deputy Chairperson, Councillor Terry Andrews said: “Downtime SummerFest provides an opportunity for the local community to come together and enjoy a wealth of family-focused activities over four-days. The festival also aims to attract new visitors to the town, showcasing
Downpatrick’s incredible heritage and culture, visitor attractions and
renowned hospitality.

“Downtime SummerFest is a community effort that we hope will not only
provide a major economic boost for Downpatrick and the wider area, but one that will grow and expand over the coming years, establishing the town as a must-visit venue.

what Downpatrick has to offer. This year we have built on that momentum to create a fun-packed weekend for all the family. We have a wonderful line-up of activities from baby opera to busking competitions to live street art.

“The festival has been crafted to offer people the opportunity to spend a
few days exploring all that our town has to offer, before spending Sunday at
