Gaelic Star Backs Council Chair Charity Concert

Newry Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew, had the pleasure of meeting Oisin McConville to discuss final plans for her Christmas Charity Concert to be held on Saturday 16 December 2017 in the Newry Town Hall, starring David Meade, Newry, Mourne and Down Trad Youth Orchestra and the Accolade Choir.

Oisin McConville, former Armagh gaelic football star, has backed the Christmas Concert for Newry Mourne and Down District Council chairperson Councillor Roisin Mulgrew.

This concert is anticipated to be one of the major highlights of the district’s Christmas calendar of events.xa0 It is also a vital fundraiser for the Chairperson’s nominated charities.

Council Chairperson Mulgrew said: “It was an absolute pleasure to meet with Oisin McConville today. The former Armagh football star is now an addiction counsellor and is delighted to endorse my Christmas Concert which is a fundraising event for Davina’s Ark, which Oisin works closely with.xa0 The Mental Health Forum and Women’s Aid are the other two beneficiaries of the Concert.

“I am delighted to report that tickets are selling well so if you would like to be part of this great evening, I would encourage you to purchase your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”

Doors open at 6.15pm and the curtain will be up at 7pm.
