Further Vandalism To Bunkers Hill Play Area At Castlewellan

dn_screenIndependent Slieve Croob Councillor Patrick Clarke has asked the public to help catch those responsible with the ongoing vandalism to the play area at Bunkers Hill in Castlewellan by reporting anything suspicious to either the PSNI, or Council following further damage recently.

Councillor Patrick Clarke said:xa0″I wish to again condemn further recent vandalism at the Play Space at Bunkers Hill, Castlewellan where the ‘Tower’ had a number of rails deliberately damaged.

“In recent weeks people for whatever reason are targeting the play area at Bunkers Hill and causing damage for no reason whatsoever.

“Following a number of further recent inspections there were a further four rails identified which had again been vandalised on ‘The Tower’ needing to be replaced.

“This is an open public amenity play space area designed for the recreation and leisure of children and young people at Bunkers Hill.

“I am appealing to those who are damaging to stop and for the public to report anything suspicious to the PSNI or Council”, added Councillor Patrick Clarke.
