Funding Fair Brings Support and Opportunities to Local Community Groups

Downpatrick Rowallane and Slieve Croob DEA Forums hosted a Funding Fair at Owenbeg Bowling Club in Downpatrick on Tuesday 4th November.

The event gave members of local community, voluntary and sports clubs the opportunity to meet representatives from funding organisations across the district.

These included Newry Mourne and Down District Council’s Go Succeed programme and its Grants and Funding team; County Down Rural Community Network; NI Housing Executive; Peace Plus; the Arts Council NI; Sported and DfA Reconciliation Fund.

District Electoral Area forum co-ordinators (front row) Priscilla McAlinden (Slieve Croob), Katrina Hynds (Downpatrick) and Nicola Whyte (Rowallane) are joined at the event by representatives from the various funding bodies and community groups.
