Event On Hate Crime And The Justice System

Monday the 24th of June at 6.30pm in the Saint Patrick’s Centre Downpatrick.

Are you interested in learning how hate crime is treated by the criminal justice system?

Come along and understand how the criminal justice system handles hate crimes.

 Have you been a victim of hate crime?

Inspector Darren Hardy of the Police Down Neighbourhood Team said: “This event will see an interactive question and answer session on issues such as identifying, overcoming or removing barriers to services and making services and justice accessible to everyone, especially to those most vulnerable.

“You will also find out more about groups and services that can help you in our area. This event is open to the whole community.

“The organisers are keen to engage with community groups, support groups, welfare associations, faith groups, and advocacy services that work with, support or consist of groups most affected by hate crime and hate incidents.

Light refreshments will be served.
